Rolls-Royce half-yearly sales up 33 percent

It would seem that the rich and famous of the world are in better financial health than ever. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars issued an announcement today that its worldwide sales in the first half of 2014 were 33 percent up from the corresponding period of 2013.

Europe leads the way of growth, with a 60 percent sales increase followed by the Asia Pacific which saw sales climb by almost 40 percent. Sales actually doubled in Germany, whilst the oil-rich Middle East region rose 30 percent, with the US and China both also seeing double digit growth.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said, “This is an excellent half-year result and demonstrates the continued confidence that our customers have in our company and our fine cars. The new Rolls-Royce Wraith has been a stunning success in the super-luxury segment, setting new modern style and technology leadership benchmarks.”
